Hi everyone,

I’m currently hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Django/DRF) for a US-based consumer technology company (Ed-tech space) that is rebuilding its in-house web platform which is used by their teams and customers everyday and investing in modern, AI-assisted software development, every engineer gets a Claude Code Max plan.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll own the backend – the Django/DRF core behind everything the internal team and external customers rely on daily.

What will you do?

– Build and maintain DRF APIs, auth, and the data model powering CRM, billing, scheduling, and reporting.

– Own the reliability of payments (via a third-party payment processor), Celery background jobs, and webhooks – idempotent, well-tested, safe under retry.

– Keep the platform fast and secure: kill N+1s, harden auth (CSRF, cookies, permissions), guard against IDOR and double-charge classes of bugs.

– Contribute to infra/CI: GCP/Cloud Run deploys, nginx, GitHub Actions, Sentry.

Who are we looking for?

– A strong sense of ownership, integrity, and professionalism, with the dedication to consistently deliver high-quality work.

– 5 + years Django in production; strong DRF (serializers, viewsets, permissions).

– Real database performance skill (query optimization, N+1, indexing) and Celery experience.

– Security instincts: auth flows, CSRF, idempotency, safe payment handling.

– Test-first discipline (pytest) and clean, descriptive git history.

Compensation

North of INR. 20 LPA.
